City SC Academy
City SC Academy Development Pathway represents a truly comprehensive approach to player growth and advancement. Unlike most youth soccer programs, City SC provides a continuous, structured pathway that allows athletes to develop from their earliest U6 recreational experience to competing as U19 Academy players at the highest levels of youth soccer. This “one-club” model ensures consistency in coaching philosophy, playing style, and developmental standards, creating a clear and attainable progression for players with collegiate, professional, or international aspirations.
The City SC Development Program is designed for elite, motivated athletes who seek to maximize their potential. It is built on a high-performance framework that integrates technical mastery, tactical understanding, physical development, and mental preparation. A cornerstone of this approach is the Academy’s commitment to creating an exceptional training environment one that mirrors the demands of professional and collegiate programs.
This environment is fostered through a comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum delivered over a 10-month competitive season. Within this structure, players receive systematic exposure to advanced technical and tactical concepts, with each training phase intentionally building on the previous one. This long-term, developmental approach enables coaches to address key moments in the game in depth focusing on decision-making, positional awareness, transitional play, and game intelligence. By integrating consistent training methodology with high-level competition, City SC ensures players are not only prepared to reach the next stage of their journey but to excel once they arrive.
What you can expect as a player in our Academy program:
- Train on the best turf floodlit fields in South Bay.
- Work with professionally licensed and experienced coaches.
- Home games played on top level turf fields in South Bay.
- Games recorded using Trace technology.
- Participate in game video analysis sessions.
- Financial aid/assistance available to help with program fees (for qualifying players).
- Complete player pathway to college and professional level.
- Access to college recruitment services and two full time college liaisons.
League Play
Academy Leagues are divided into a Fall Season & Spring Season
- Fall Season: September-November (10-15 Games)
- Spring Season: March-May (10-15 Games)
Showcases
Teams will also attend showcase events during a regular season. Showcases rotate between various locations throughout the country each year.
TRYOUT for CITY SC ACADEMY PROGRAM
Players will be evaluated for our academy programs during tryouts (click here for latest tryout info), however, the recruitment process is ongoing. Typically players will be invited for a trial period of training with the current Academy team before being offered a spot with that team.
